The ‘Mermaid and The Gherkin Jar’ is illustrated by the artist, Margaret Hughlock. Margaret works from her studio on the Lancashire coast, creating sculptural works of art and paintings for the print market in the UK, Italy and the USA. Working on The Mermaid in The Gherkin Jar represents the first time she has been commissioned to illustrate a novel.
